One of the essential elements in GAD Planning and Budgeting to enable effective planning and implementation of sectoral programs are providing capability building Program on GAD-related laws and commitments to GFPS Members/Technical Working Group, and PGOM personnel. The Gender Sensitivity Trainings (GSTs) have been an integral part of GAD advocacy as a mechanism to increase awareness among PGOM employees, trainings should be included but shall not be limited to gender mainstreaming, gender analysis and gender- responsive planning and budgeting, and the need to strengthening GAD Focal Point System.
For the year 2020 the Provincial Government of Occidental Mindoro through the Provincial Planning and Development office (PPDO) conducted GAD Gender and Sensitivity Training/Workshop (GST) and other GAD related training to PGOM Department Heads, Assistant Department Head, Technical Staff and other SP member.
Considering the emergence and the year-long effect issue of COVID 19 pandemic and the guidelines on the observance of health and safety protocol, other GAD related trainings were not realized. Out of 2020 GAD budget allocation of Php 1,032,500.00, a total amount of Php 809,685.66 or 78% were utilized on Gender Sensitivity Trainings activities as presented on the table 10.
